Peter spent 21 years in local church ministry across three parishes in Liverpool Diocese before his involvement in theological education begun in 2016. Having grown up in an environment that emphasised personal and small group study of the Bible he enjoys exploring with people the methods we use to read and interpret the Bible, and how we allow it to shape our lives and the church. Based in Church Wigan a particular emphasise has been on being the body of Christ, in terms of how churches work together and encouraging collaborative mission and ministry. Within Emmanuel this is expressed through his role as Tutor for Licensed Lay Ministry Pathway alongside teaching biblical studies. Peter is married to Joyce, they have two adult sons and one grandson. Originally for the South-East since moving to the North-West he has been converted to supporting LFC and Wigan Warriors.
