The role of the Board of Trustees is crucial in maintaining good governance of the College and supporting the Dean and the staff team by deploying their varied experiences and professional expertise to enable us to fulfil the College’s vision of equipping the whole people of God for the whole mission of God in our region today. The Trustees are appointed by the six north west Diocesan Bishops on the basis of relevant skills and experience.
Our Trustees exercise prayerful oversight of relevant policies, budgeting and finance, ensuring our Christ-centred, hope-filled, and mission-orientated ethos touches all areas of the College’s life. We’re so grateful to them and to God for them as they serve the Emmanuel community in this way.
The Trustees are:

The Rt Revd Dr Matthew Porter

Merciful Father, we pray for our Trustees and all those whom you have called to the oversight and leadership of Emmanuel Theological College; keep them faithful to Christ, strengthen them in body and soul and bless their work, that they may exercise their responsibilities faithfully in the service of all those you love and for whose salvation your Son now lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God now and forever, Amen.
Prayer adapted from Catherine of Siena
