Phil trained for ministry at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford and since ordination in 2010 has ministered at churches in Lancashire and Essex, as well as taught at St.Mellitus North West. Phil currently lives in Cheshire, where he is part-time Vicar of St John the Evangelist, Ashton Hayes. He is married to Helen and they have three children. Before ordination Phil was employed as an economist at Her Majesty’s Treasury, working on issues such as public sector efficiency and regional economic policy. His hobbies include golf, cycling and supporting Crystal Palace FC.
