Paul has been ordained for thirty years, and has ministered widely across the Church of England in parish and ministry development roles. Before the formation of Emmanuel Paul was Principal of Cumbria Christian Learning, having previously served from 2014-2019 as Dean of Licensed Ministry Training for the Winchester School of Mission, part of the South Central TEI.
Paul is passionate about mission and the role of the local church, worship and teaching the Scriptures (especially New Testament). His current research interests are in Matthew, New Testament use of the Old Testament, 1 Peter and Revelation; he is a member of the British New Testament Society.
Married to Julia, with four adult children and several grandchildren, Paul enjoys time with family, reading, photography and spending as long as possible in the beautiful landscapes of the Lake District and the Eden Valley.
