I have been involved in missions in the UK in a varity of ways for over 25 years. I trained for ordination in a mixed mode setting, and I am thrilled to continue to embrace that pattern of simultaneously taking time to reflect theologically alongside serving in the church and the community. In addition to my role as tutor in theology at ETC I am also leading a group into planting small church congregations for those who wouldn’t otherwise know Jesus or be part of a church family. The fact I get to do this with my husband and two teenage daughters is a real thrill. Watching them explore their own faith, putting it into words and actions, is wonderful.
My top tip for getting to know people when moving to a new area is get a puppy. Everyone stops to talk to you when you have a cute dog!
